    Creation of a tramline in Liège

    Full planning and technical studies for the construction of a tramline between Sclessin and Coronmeuse and associated depot, in preparation for a PPP (public-private partnership) project.

    This initial 12 km line with twenty stations will provide a new public transport artery for the city of Liège.

    The project includes : construction of bus-tram interchange hubs, park-and-ride facilities, a maintenance and stabling centre, traction sub-stations and operating areas; the refurbishment of existing structures and the architectural integration of the line into the urban landscape, and the management of crossings and adjacent areas.

    Beyond its coordination duties — including coordination with institutional partners such as the City of Liège or SPW — bureau greisch also carried out quality control. This was aimed at ensuring that the solutions proposed by the contractor met all applicable standards, Qualiroutes requirements, and the project’s specification document.

    Mission

    Preliminary study mission, preparation of the planning permission application, drafting of technical specificationsfor the PPP contract and analysis of bids from contractors. During the project, the project designer SM LiègeTram was commissioned to assist the project owner OTW (formerly SRWT) and ensure that the requirements and specifications defined in the contract were met
