New headquarters for newspaper Le Monde in Paris
This building (total floor area of 23,000 m², including 11,300 m² of offices), houses all the teams of the Le Monde group. Bureau greisch carried out, on behalf of Eiffage, part of the execution studies.
An important part of the studies concerned the verification and reinforcement of the existing track covers on which the new building rests. Bureau greisch studied the interfaces with the existing structures in order to guarantee the perfect structural behaviour (load descent, support devices, expansion joints) of the new metal structures, requiring the complete understanding of the railway constraints as well as the assumptions of the existing structures.
Bureau greisch was also responsible takes care of the management of the construction loads on the existing slab and the structural checks under the stresses of the cranes, ballast, and assembly packages.
Finally, the assembly and camber studies of this complex framework as well as the structural verification of the main nodes have been conducted.
