Former abbey of the Paix Dieu in Amay
Since 2003, Bureau Greisch has been carrying out a range of restoration work on this living area. This work includes among others:
- The Abbess wing, accommodation centre (2007 – a balanced restoration combining sensitive contemporary contributions with the heritage constraints of the site);
- The new workshops (2004 – this building is used to organise training courses for professionals, particularly in metalwork, carpentry and stone-cutting);
- The abbey church (2011 – identical restoration and contemporary intervention. First phase, consolidation of the vaults and double arches);
- The dovecote (2013 – Investigations into the foundations and the stability of the masonry cylinder led to consolidation work using jet grouting, a civil engineering process designed to form a «concrete soil» in situ in the mass of the ground);
- The advanced training centre and the materials library (in the rest of the church, a conservatory of know-how) ;
- The walls and surrounding area (2011 – redeveloped terraces restoration of walls, orchards with ancient species, planting).
