Divercity Complex – Forest

    Divercity Complex – Forest

The “Divercity” project is a programme of highly diverse local amenities, including a youth centre, creche, day centre for the elderly, teaching restaurant, classrooms, offices and a concierge lodge at the edge of a large open space.

These facilities are close to Luttre Bridge, housed in two buildings that differ in scale: one houses the youth centre in a 500 m² building and the other houses all the other facilities within a 3,200 m² space.

This complex on the edge of the park is mainly of reinforced concrete for the elevations and prestressed concrete for the floors. On the sides facing the park and the railway tracks, thin concrete walls cover wide spans and accommodate the building’s various cantilevered sections.

Prefabrication plays a large part, with most of the walls made of 25 cm prefabricated wall panels. The internal columns are of reinforced concrete, in contrast to the external composite steel/concrete columns mounted on thermal break plates.
