Pont hermalle

Road link between the N618 at the Haccourt bridge and the E25 motorway, and new Trilogiport bridge

As part of the construction of the “Trilogiport” multimodal platform, a new bridge across the River Meuse and a half motorway interchange have been built to provide direct access to this platform for trucks arriving from Liège or Holland.

This bridge also creates a connection between the motorway and the N618 at Haccourt Bridge, so users do not have to drive across Visé to get to the motorway.

Located 1.400 metres downstream of Argenteau Bridge, the bridge is approximately 300 metres long. Its largest section, spanning the Meuse, is 88 m long.

The load-bearing structure consists of two steel girders or variable height and a concrete slab attached to the metal sections of the bridge.

The bridge has two 3.5 m wide road lanes with a 1.3 m central reservation so that traffic can be kept moving in both directions if there is a stationary vehicle in one of the lanes.

The bridge also provides a link between the two riverbanks for pedestrians and cyclists via a cantilevered walkway on the upstream girder, away from the traffic.

The structure has been designed so that, in the future, an access ramp to the bridge can be created from the motorway on the Visé side.
