Liège-Bierset airport North freight zone – phase 2

Within the framework of the development of the activities of the Freight Zone in the north of Liège-Bierset airport, SOWAER, for LIEGE AIRPORT, carries out a second phase of the extension of its installations. The works include the following facilities and equipment: construction of an airport platform in pinned concrete slab for 6 F-code aircraft parking stands, with a total surface area of 82,775 m², equipped with complete aeronautical lighting installations, lighting masts equipped with LED lamps, a complete kerosene supply hydrant network with 2 pits per stand, docking masts, and 400Hz standby pits.

The project also includes the construction of a technical building of 620 m² with premises for the aeronautical lighting installations, data, a high voltage cabin and a no-break emergency diesel power unit; the construction of a 780 m long technical gallery that can be visited (Ø2000mm), and the construction of a 175 m² technical building equipped with a 350 m³ water tank and a booster set for water supply with 4 pumps + 1 emergency pump, developing a nominal flow of 120 m³/h at a maximum working pressure of 10.7 bars.

The mission also required the construction of a complete new drainage network of 4,100 m in length, made of cylindrical concrete pipes with diameters ranging from 400 to 2,000 mm, to connect the new platform and the front-line halls to an existing storm basin. This network also includes a 105 m³ de-icing product recovery tank and a hydrocarbon separator-sludge trap with a treatment flow rate of 600 l/s.

Bureau Greisch, reprensentative of the joint venture,  ensured the coordination of the whole of the studies and the follow-up of the works, divided into 4 consecutive distinct markets and 3 concomitant lots
