Liege-Airport – passenger terminal
The new terminal and its surroundings have been carried out while the air terminal was still operational.
The entirely-glazed building (116 x 72 m) is composed of a mixed frame. The main frame is made up of 12-meter-high steel columns filled in with concrete and of prestressed concrete beams. The set of porticos, 36-meter-long each, is contrevent by the technical floor. The 8 350 m² floor surface is realized without any expansion joints.
The fronts are made up of a metallic frame and stabilize the structure despite the large-sized stained-glass windows (160 x 360 cm).
