JFK – Projet résidentiel AK7 on the Kirchberg plateau
Located right in the centre of Kirchberg, the project, with a total surface area of +/- 63,500 m², involves the construction of residential buildings with a load-bearing structure made of cast-in-place reinforced concrete. Two lots make up the works under study :
- Lot 1 comprises 4 superstructure buildings linked by a common base. The buildings range in height from R+5 to R+13. The common base contains esplanades, car and cycle parking, private cellars and technical rooms.
- Lot 2 also comprises 4 superstructure buildings linked by a common base. The buildings range in height from R+4 to R+6. The common base contains esplanades, car and cycle parking, private cellars and technical rooms.
In order to optimise the programming of housing and basement parking, the above-ground and basement structures are not all perfectly aligned. The complexity of designing these buildings lies in the fact that many of the superstructure’s walls, columns and cores are not continuous. Deflection walls and beams are used to transfer the loads to the columns and walls of the basement levels.
