«Edith Cavell» medical institute at Brussels

Important renovation and extension of a building erected in 1953 and composed of five levels and a basement :

• construction of four car park levels beneath the current building,
• construction of a new building as high as the old one and with five underground levels. Capacity of the building : 100 beds.

Because the institute had to remain fully operational, the use of some very special building techniques was necessary.
Total capacity of the building: 410 beds.
Surface area : 8 100 m².
