The information meeting for local residents took place on 12 December and marks the beginning of the environmental impact assessment.
This new stadium will meet not only the sporting ambitions of Standard de Liège football club, but also those of its supporters, the neighbourhood and the city.
This new infrastructure will comply with UEFA and FIFA standards, and will allow for a better welcoming of fans thanks to a large esplanade around the stadium.
The capacity of the stadium is expected to be increased from 28,000 to 34,000 seats, with the closure of the stadium ring and the expansion of the T2 stand. 1200 new parking spaces would be created and new functions would be planned around the stadium: on the Meuse side, 15,000 m² of offices and mixed functions (day nursery, sports centre, brewery, etc.), along the T3 grandstand, 2000 m² of shops and leisure areas, and along the T2 grandstand, a new silo car park.
