David Monfort graduated as a civil engineer Constructions from the university of Liège (1998).

After his studies, he directly joined bureau greisch as a calculation engineer. He holds positions of increasing responsibility as project manager within the civil engineering and bridges departments, head of the civil engineering department and project director.

Since 2008, he has been involved in the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the university of Liège, where he supervises practical work and end-of-studies thesis relating to geotechnical design and hydraulic constructions.

Since 2020, he is Director of Greisch Coordination & Etudes and Greisch Ingénierie (via his company). He has a wide experience in the field of hydraulic works (locks, quays, river dams), bridges (steel bridges, concrete bridges), large civil engineering works (buried works, reinforced constructions, work in the presence of the water table, underpinning, …), road and airport works (platforms, roadways, earthworks, sewerage) and various foundation systems. Its references extend from the study phase to the execution of the works.

Fascinated by the structural behaviour of structures and gifted with a cross-sensitivity between technique and aesthetics, he is involved as project director in various studies of hydraulic structures (Ampsin and Hainaut locks, Monsin dam) and urban developments (Bressoux boulevard, cycle corridor and busways in Liège). As an expert, he also participates in the design of several bridges (footbridge on the Albert Canal in Herentals, footbridges for the Vesdrienne in the Verviers region, design competition).
