The installation of the first glass roof has begun on the construction site of the new shopping centre in the Cloche d’ or district of Luxembourg.
This heart-shaped canopy is the first out of a total of five that will bring light to the 75,000 m² gallery with some 130 shops and a hypermarket. The total glazed area is 2900m².
Bureau Greisch carried out these studies on behalf of the association between the facade constructor Groven+ and the carpenter TMI. These required a complete 3D modeling in order to process and optimize the gridshells.
