The contractor BAM Galère has just been appointed for the works of “Flexport City 3”, the second phase of the implementation of the economic activity zones located north of Liège-Bierset airport. Nearly two years after inaugurating “Flexport City 1”, Sowaer is continuing to develop the economic activity zones around the airport by making new land available to accommodate investors whose activities are linked with the airport.
In order to carry out this ambitious project, the Walloon airports company entrusted bureau Greisch, in association with AUPA office (for planning aspects), to complete the study mission (preliminary design, project design) as well as the follow-up of the construction works.
The works will make this new area viable and consist of the creation of new roads, the levelling of the ground, the laying of underground piping (water, gas, electricity, optical fiber…) as well as the construction of a new storm basin.
This implementation is foreseen in several tranches; the end of the first phase of work is scheduled for the beginning of 2018; the other tranches will be ordered progressively.
