A first heliostat « made in Neo&Ides-Bemelmans » has been placed on the new fire station in Charleroi (BE).
This device was designed by Neo&Ides and developed in partnership with the contractor Bemelmans of Battice.
This heliostat will track the sun allowing a primary mirror to continuously follow the sun’s path via a rotation around two axes.
Three successive reflections bring then the halo of light from the top of the atrium to the main entrance area of the building on the ground floor.
In general, this system aims to bring natural light into the premises located inside or outside the buildings with poor natural lighting.
