This Friday, August 26 will take place the inauguration of the third bridge over the Bosporus in Istanbul.
With a main span of 1408m, this mixed bridge type – suspended as well as cable-stayed – is a new world record for a bridge for both road and rail traffic.
Two of our engineers, Vincent de Ville de Goyet and Arnaud Propson, will be present alongside the Turkish authorities, the contractors and the designers (Jean-François Klein and Michel Virlogeux) to celebrate the culmination of an adventure of a little more than three years, to which we participated from the early studies of the preliminary design.
