On Friday, October 2, the COOLCITY 3000 exhibition received the Co-Legia 2026 Award during its opening event at SPACE Collection.
This artistic project consists of the creation of an imaginary city, bringing together hundreds of scale models designed by artists from various countries, including Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, and others. Conceived and developed by the French-Belgian artist duo Palin Drome & XDK, the exhibition invites visitors to explore a city of the future. Each creation belongs to a specific area of the city, with its own distinctive characteristics: urban, mountainous, desert, aquatic, or unknown.
Beyond its utopian vision of tomorrow’s city, the project won over the Co-Legia jury thanks to its participatory approach and the social issues it addresses, such as inadequate housing and social vulnerability. A prize of €10,000 has be awarded during the opening event. Bureau greisch, a member of the Co-Legia collective for several years, fully supports this decision.

This year, Co-Legia selected a second project as well. The performance “Je suis une tomate”, at the crossroads of theatre and live music, is a co-recipient of the award alongside the COOLCITY exhibition.
The show tells the story of a young girl from the second and third generations of Italian immigration and explores themes such as racism, exclusion, and discrimination. It will be performed on November 20 and 21 at Théâtre Le Moderne in Liège.
