On 18 September 1987, the cable-stayed bridge at Ben-Ahin near Huy was placed by rotation around its concrete pylon. This method of construction remains, to date, the world record for the heaviest bridge (16,000 tons) put in place by rotation.
The design and the method of construction of this 341 m long structure were developed by bureau Greisch.
