    Luxair aircraft maintenance hangar

The technical design of this building was entrusted to Bureau Greisch Luxembourg, which was responsible for HVAC/sanitary systems, compressed air, high/low/medium voltage electricity, photovoltaic systems, lifts, overhead travelling cranes and other airport-specific features.

The building consists of 2,900  m² of administrative space, various workshops – mechanical, engine mechanics, on-board electronics and cleaning – covering an area of 780 m², storage areas and other spare parts warehouses covering 1,110 m² and a 5,000 m² hangar.

The hangar is 22 metres high and can accommodate three Boeing 737 aircraft simultaneously for routine maintenance.

Studies of the surroundings of this building are also part of the services provided by Bureau Greisch Luxembourg. This includes road lighting between the national road and the building (+/- 400 m of road), staff and visitor car parks, a comprehensive study of the security checkpoint separating the airside and landside areas, and an aircraft parking area covering approximately 10,000 m².

This new hangar will enable Luxair to continue its development by accommodating the new generation of aircraft and will provide outstanding working conditions for its entire technical team.
