Lift of the Royal Library of Belgium

Lift of the Royal Library of Belgium

Design of a panoramic glass lift in the Royal Library of Belgium building. Located just behind an existing vertical window at the Gutenberg entrance, it projects slightly beyond the facade onto the roof terrace.

With an incredible view of the capital, this project will improve the flow of visitors, including people with reduced mobility, between the Mont des Arts (a listed site since 2022) and the restaurant. At the same time, it will contribute to a new dynamic and enable the people of Brussels and visitors alike to enjoy our rich cultural heritage to the full.

Designed by Jo Coenen Architects & Urbanists, the bureau greisch is in charge of the complete stability, building engineering services and EPB missions.
