Work has just started on the redevelopment of the Boussu square on behalf of the Municipal Administration. Archaeological excavations by AWAP are under way.
The project’s challenges are to:
– recreate a quality, user-friendly public space, return the space to people;
– limit the use of cars, both in terms of traffic and parking;
– create a friendly space in front of the shops on Rue Guérin;
– host the weekly market and various annual festivities;
– highlight the links with the care home building, the municipal administration building and the nursing home with its garden.
The architectural and civil engineering missions are being carried out by Canevas and the bureau greisch respectively.
