Julian Flock rewarded for his final student work

Julian FLOCK, who joined the R&D team of bureau Greisch, was awarded a prize “Best final student work of academic year 2017” awarded by the Association of the engineers graduated at the university of Liege.

His work is entitled “Développement d’un modèle numérique pour l’analyse des efforts dans les ligatures d’une pile de plats métalliques sous impact” (Development of a numerical model for the analysis of forces in the ties of a stack of metal plates under impact). It consisted of studying and modelling the behaviour of steel plates held by straps during transport. The ultimate goal was to determine the force with which the straps must be stretched to avoid slipping of these sheets when subjected to vibrations.
