A new milestone in the replacement of the tram ramp on the Van Praet bridge around the Docks shopping centre in Brussels.
At the beginning of June, the new ramp was concreted on temporary supports next to the existing ramp, which is currently being demolished.
Next, the new foundations will be laid and the new 65-metre ramp, weighing over 940 tonnes, will be lifted using jacks, then shifted horizontally and finally placed in its final position.
This unusual technique will be used on 8 August.
