The construction of the new T03 building on the European Space Agency (ESA) site in Redu is nearing completion. It will house a security center, operational checkpoints and offices. Our energy unit (Neo & Ides) led energy and environmental studies for this project.
This small O.V.N.I, already certified BREEAM Excellent in design phase, exceeds the standards of sustainable construction. It presents a negative primary energy balance Ew <0 in the sense of PEB and a very sustainable approach.
Currently, data is being collected to start the commissioning phase of the facilities. On the basis of these data (see graphs below), our team will analyze the functioning, comfort and real consumption of the building during the use phase over a period of 1 year.
The project is conducted in Design & Build in collaboration with the architecture firm Samyn and Partners, the FTI office and the Houyoux company.
