Link E40-E25 - bridge of Pays de Liège

Cable stayed bridge for an urban motorway composed of :

  • a single pylon shaped as a truncated cone and covered with glass plates,
  • central cables sheathed with stainless steel,
  • a prestressed concrete deck with a central box-girder and side slabs bearing on steel rods sheathed with stainless steel.
The deck is 25.7 m wide, the main span upon the Meuse river 162 m long for an overall length of 327 m.
The first part of the tunnel acts as the counterbalancing span.
