Footbridge of Farciennes This footbridge is aimed to recreate an access to
a forest that has been closed by the construction of
a junction of motorways. The bridge is made of Corten
steel.
The material choice gives a simple and durable
answer to this link in a wooden area, that does not
need any maintenance.
The structure, a 200 x 25 cm box-girder lies on its
ends and at mid-span with lengts of +/- 20 m. All
pieces - box-girder, parapet, steps, piles - have been
made of on single coil, 2 m wide and 8 mm thick,
unrolled and cut.
