Footbridge Hoge Brug

This bridge is a new link for pedestrians and bikers between the new district “Céramique” and the old city of Maastricht. Entirely made of steel, its has an overall length of 261 m. The deck, 7,20 m wide, is a box girder shaped as a sector of circle.
The side spans, with a soft slope, are stairs with a lateral gutter for the guidance of the cycles.
On each bank, a lift wholly glazed allows the access to the bridge.
The main span, 164 m long, is a bowstring bridge with a single central arch with variable geometry and 14 crosswise full locked suspension cables, 50 mm in diameter.
