Oosterweel connection The ring-road around Antwerp has to be completed with a direct connection between E19 north and E17 south, to facilitate international transit.
Composed of a multitude of civil works of which a tunnel under the Scheldt, this connection will especially give birth to the Lange Wapper, a curved cable-stayed bridge consisting out of 2 motorway levels of a main span of 603 m, situated at Right Bank of the Scheldt.
