Arrangement of the F1 track of Spa-Francorchamps The transformation of the track contains mainly :
- the modification of the chicane and the track in order to realise a straigth pit lane ;
- the construction of new paddocks conform to the latest FIA regulations, with 12 stands and 36 garages ;
- the construction of buildings containing rooms for commentators, podium, stewards, reception and restaurant ;
- the arrangement of parkings, access tunnels and by-passes to improve the accessibility and the security nearby the track ;
- the construction of a car park building over three levels for 250 cars and 36 trucks ;
- the construction of new fixed tribunes with covered seats.
The 200 000 m³ earthworks are balanced between excavation and embankment, in a difficult site.
Works duration : 10 months.
