| Drawn by the architect Frank Gehry, the building is covered with twelve glass windows evoking a deployed aerofoil. The purpose of this foundation created by Louis Vuitton, principal actor of the French patronage, is to promote the contemporary art. |

| 01/12/2009 | Greisch Bureau collaborates in the estimate of the means of assembly and the development of the technical documents necessary to the launching of the invitation to tender for the metal frame of two principal bridges on the road link and railway between the west coast of Qatar and the East coast of Bahrain. |
| These exceptional bridges span two shipping routes in the Persian Gulf. The first includes a deck of 506 m length and 44,6 m broad and the second, a deck of 431 meters length. Their total steel-weight comes to 40000 tons.
The project Qatar Bahrain Causeway (QBC), aiming to realize a 40 km long connection (of which 22 km of bridges) is carried by Vinci, member of the award-winning group of the Design and Build contest. |

| Bureau Greisch realizes, for the group Bageci - CLE - Galere - Aelterman, the studies of the new viaduct, which will be built by pushing method. It will also take care of the studies of the design and the dimensioning of the assembly elements. |

| 13/11/2009 | The new campus of the Artevelde high-school in Gent (BE) was inaugurated on October 28th. |
| Four years only were necessary since the project promoter nomination, the consortium Crepain Binst Architecture - bureau greisch - RCR, to design and carry out this campus. Being able to accommodate more than 1500 students, it understands five large auditoriums, classrooms and practice rooms, a media library, a restaurant, offices, a car park for 230 cars and a bicycle park.

| | The Executive Board of the Chirec assigned officially the temporary company Delta 2017 (association of Assar, Greisch and SM Ingénium-SNC-Lavalin) as constructor of the new hospital. This new center will include, among others, five hundred conventional hospital beds, medical day-activities, medico-technical activities, about a hundred consulting cabinets and rooms for support services.
The works of this building, in conformity with the current directives concerning sustainable constructions, should be finished in 2017 such as indicates the name of the temporary company. |

| A festive moment on which the many guests have had the opportunity to recall the accomplished work ever since the establishment of the office in 1959. It was also an opportunity to see the many projects which ensure the future of a team of 150 persons, still faithful to the principles of René Greisch : the rigour, the search for the "best" and the collegial structure.

| The Class "Technology and Society", set up during the general meeting of the Academy on May the 29th, was created for a general policy of evaluation of the technological innovations, their social, economic, environmental and cultural incidences as well as their ethical implications on the society.

| 09/10/2009 | The building of the EIB (European Investment Bank) in Luxembourg (LU), winner of the "Steel construction contest 2009" in the category "non residential buildings with steel or composite structure". |
| This award was given by Infosteel, the organiser of the contest, on October the 2nd, during steel construction day 2009.
Bureau Greisch ensured the studies of execution of this exceptional building (see news 2008/05/06).

| 06/10/2009 | Inauguration on August the 31st, 2009 - in the presence of Philippe Henry, Minister of the Walloon Government in charge of town and country planning, mobility and environment - of the bus depot and the connection station of the TEC at Menuchenet, near to Bouillon (BE). |
| Realised in partnership with the architectural office greisch (bag), the project includes the depot with a park zone for busses, service areas, a car park for the personnel of the TEC and the station with a “kiss&ride-zone”, a public car park and shelters for travellers and two-wheeled vehicles. The diversion of a RAVeL route, the treatment and the rejection of water, the lighting and the monitoring by cameras, the plantations... form also part of the project.

| From 1999 to 2009, about thirty people took turns to add up not less than 85,000 working hours. They ensured the studies of stability, the general coordination of works and brought a technical assistance to the direction of the operations during the comlete duration of the extensive site.

| The metal bridge, with its 90 meters length and 425 tons weight, was assembled in the workshop and was brought on barge from Ghent. The operation started at 7 o'clock in the morning on Sunday, August the 23rd and finished the same day abount 16:30. |

Civil-Mechanical engineer, Alain Goujon-Dubois joined Bureau Greisch in 2007, after a career of more than 30 years in industry. During this one, he took up the various duties which the management of a company requires : administrative, financial, technical and commercial management, human resources and quality.
With a welt of experience behind one, he is charged, within Bureau Greisch, to bring support to the persons in charge of the business files in order to improve the follow-up and management of the projects, whose complexity appreciably increased during last years.

| End of may, Rijkswaterstaat (Ministry of public works) has charged the consortium Royal Haskoning, Arup and Greisch with the mission of Managing contractor for the renovation of eight steel bridges subjected to fatigue problems. The mission covers the engineering and the global management of the project, including inspection of the bridges, calculation, design, preparing contract documents and supervising the execution of the works.

| In order to allow the loading of the barges, this pontoon of 28 m length and 5 m broad presents an overhang of 4 m above the Canal du Centre. In addition to this work, Bureau Greisch ensures the study and the follow-up of the construction of the platform itself (6 700 m²) and of eleven storage boxes of a full capacity of 12,400 m³. |

| The major elements of this steel structure are the two « mega-truss girders » of 205 m span on which mobile roofs will slide. All elements of those trusses will be assembled with pins to accelerate the assembly of the structure.
