 | The 792 m long deck is currently being launched. It consists of 4 m high side girders, placed on piles formed by four pile-holding devices creating a V-profile.
Bureau Greisch took part in the modification of the preliminary draft on behalf of the companies Eiffel and Eiffage TP, responsible for the realization of the work. |

| 19/11/2008 | Axel Rémont, staff member of bureau Greisch, received the study award 2008 of the Belgian Concrete Grouping. |
 | This price is the crowning achievement of his thesis at the University of Liege, entitled : “Search for a calculation formulation for the buckling of the high efficiencies concrete columns subjected to bending and compression”.
The principle of the suggested method is to build an interaction curve (M, N) which takes into account the second-order effects. It is inspired by the developments at the base of the buckling curves of the steel columns, but taking into account the specific behaviour of the reinforced concrete.

 | With the placement of the last sections, those of the arc on September 30th and those of the deck on October 16th, the substructure of the bridge is now almost completed. It functions from now on in arc and the realization of the slab can be started.

 | Located near railway stations or railways, each signal box shelters technical premises accessible from outside, IT-premises, offices and a control room, strategic space of the project. Some are equipped with workshops. Technical equipments and buildings were subjected to a rational and efficient energy study. |

 | With its 413 additional meters, the runway will reach 3700 meters length and will thus allow the takeoff of the fully loaded jumbo jets. In addition to the earthworks and draining, work understands the destruction of an existing railway tunnel and the extension on 300 meters of a tunnel on the line 36A. After embankment of the whole, the outlevelling of the approach zone will guarantee an optimum reflection of the radio waves transmitted by the guidance devices of the aircrafts.

| | The Court of Law of Namur will accommodate the legal services and persons subject to the jurisdiction in a building of approximately 15.900 m², build on the place called « des Casernes Léopold ».
The Court of Law of Dinant will make it possible to place the legal services and the services of the SPF Finances in a building of approximately 10.800 m², build on the place called « Divignes ».

| 22/09/2008 | The extension of Bureau Greisch enters its ultimate phase of installation. |
 | This extension built at the back of the existing building understands two levels of approximately 320 m². Each one will be occupied by 72 workstations (see news of the 2007-10-22). Its flat roof will be covered with green roof plants being used as a protection for the waterproofing membrane and the soundproofing. A two levels high atrium with a glass roof makes the connection between the two volumes. Metal footbridges and staircases ensure the connections between old and new offices. |

 | These developments must make it possible, with the advice of department ARGENCO of the Liege University, to complete a finite element of “beam”, already quite complete, to take into account the distortion phenomenon of its cross-section.This new computational tool, useful for the engineers at the time of the design, will be implemented in the calculation programme FINELG. This program made it possible for Bureau Greisch to conceive, dimension and check already numerous exceptional works.

 | Overhanging the channel of Charleroi, this stayed bridge will have a 120 m length and a width of 19,6m.
It will satisfy the standard ECMT (European Conference of the Ministers for Transport) which imposes, in this case, headroom of 7,00 m. The contracting owner is Brussels Mobility - AED (Department management and maintenance of the roadway systems).
This mission will be carried out in collaboration with the office of Brussels (Greisch-Bgroup). SumProject will ensure the urban aspects of the project.

This bridge, with four tracks, 450 m long, has been built with 8 000 tons of steel and 21 000 m³ of concrete.
It will allow, as from 2010, an increase of the railway trafic and the preparation of the arrival in Bordeaux of the High Speed Line South Europa Atlantic. |
